This past Friday Garnet Valley High School had the Homecoming football game! GVHS won the game 35-8 against Upper Darby. The theme was white out and many people showed their spirit by wearing all white! Before the game, the GVHS Dance Team performed, and then at half-time, the band performed before the homecoming court went onto the field. This was when the homecoming king and queen were crowned. Our queen for this year is Alana Acosta and our king is John Huss, congratulations to them!
The homecoming game is special every year because of the dance that follows and the showing of everyone’s school spirit. There are also many other unique things done at the homecoming game. Like the alumni tent on the hill filled with food for the alumni. As well as the parade that’s before the game. There was also a fireworks show at the end of the game. This game is usually the most popular game for everyone to go to.
