Garnet Valley High School

The annual winter chorus concert is coming up this December! More than a hundred Garnet Valley students in grades 9-12 have been working on challenging music since September, including O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells, Sleep, I’m Yours, and many more. Multiple choral groups will be performing, such as the full chorus, master singers (the auditioned choir group), and finally the men’s and women’s ensemble (which are both fully student run by senior Matt Hwang and juniors Kelly McGarrey and Joey Rice). The concert will include spiritual, pop, classical, and festive pieces. The concert is free to get in and will take place on December 12th at seven o’clock pm and will last approximately an hour. If you have any questions about the concert or chorus in general, you can ask Mrs. Thomas in room E112.

The chorus will also be going on their daily caroling field trip to sing at Maris Grove, Sunrise retiring home, and even Chick-fil-a on December 18th. This trip is only open to students taking the class this semester, senior chorus members, and master singers. The master singers will also be going on their annual trip to Edgewood Memorial Service to sing Christmas carols to honor our veterans on December 6th.
