Next Thursday, April 7, 2022, Garnet Valley High School will be hosting a Speak Up event to bring together students, parents, teachers, and community members to talk about the more sensitive subjects that affect us in life. The goal of the event is to bridge the gap between children and adults by allowing both parties to “Speak Up” about the problems they have dealt with throughout their lives. This year’s topics of discussion include race and racism, relationships, mental health, and pressure. The event encourages communication and comfort, so everyone is heard and acknowledged. It is a great place to speak about sensitive topics without judgment or fear.

It will take place on Zoom at 7 pm and anyone is able to attend. Students don’t have to worry about being in the same room as their parents, as they are kept separate to ensure that everyone feels comfortable speaking at the event. If you think and/or your friends and family members would benefit from this event, encourage them to register and attend!

Please click HERE to register prior to April 7.

We can’t wait to see you there!
