The Track Jags of Garnet Valley are off to the races, with both boys and girls teams competing in their first Central League meets of the year on Wednesday at Haverford and at home, respectively. The boys defeated Ridley and Haverford, and the girls defeated Ridley, Penncrest, and Haverford to start the Central League season.

Jack Westburg (jr.) ran a blistering time of 11.20 seconds to qualify for the District 1 Championships at Coatesville in May.

Anna Saboja (jr.) will make her return to Districts for the 100m hurdles, running a time of 16.09 seconds to qualify.

Alyssa Wert will also return to Districts for the second consecutive year in the 400m, for which she holds the school record, running a time of 59.31 seconds.

Both boys and girls teams will hit the road tomorrow for the Haverford Invitational.
