Our Jaguar Marching band is back at it again! Practicing hard and marching with pride, the band played at the football team’s game on Friday the 21st at halftime for the crowd to enjoy. It was clear to see the students participating put a ton of effort and work into improving their show.

The next day, the band travelled to Penncrest to partake in the annual Penncrest Marching Band Festival. Though it wasn’t a competition, the band definitely put in their all with their outstanding performance. Every member played with pride and worked to make their show, Heroes: Go the Distance, an incredible performance to watch. They very obviously put every ounce of focus and dedication into marching and playing their best on the field that night.

Even the battery dove head first into a drumline battle, where they played various cadences and showed off their impeccable rhythmic ability. At the end of the festival, the band joined the other schools at Penncrest in an one-thousand student ensemble, where they played the song “Sweet Caroline” as one large ensemble piece.

The band truly went the distance this past week with their music and will only continue to march on with success! This week, the band will travel to Springfield with the football team to play at half-time once again, and their next competition is at Upper Moreland High School on October 13th. Wish them luck!
