Mr. Pimentel and Sea Kluader bringing positive thoughts and comments on the Eagles’ recent success.
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a dominant season, which resulted in the destruction of the Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. But the people of Philadelphia are focused on next season just as much as they are on celebrating the success.
“The Eagles have most of their good players under contract. Four starters are not. Most of their important players are coming back, like the quarterback. They should be able to maintain their level of success. I am expecting them to succeed and be as good as they were,” said freshman Sean Klauder on the topic of next season.
Saquon Barkley had one of the greatest running back seasons of all time in the 2023 season. He rushed for over 2,000 yards and seemed unstoppable. It is very rare to have a season like this, but it is nearly impossible to have another one the next year. Most 2,000-yard rushers only finish with about 1,300 or less the next year.
“I think teams will start to stack the box, but we will just do what we did in the Super Bowl and kill you on the outside with (A.J.) Brown, DeVonta Smith, and even the tight ends. So they can just choose their poison.” Mr. Pimentel on the topic of Saqoun’s next season.
But the Eagles' offense was far from the entire story this year. The defence was just as good. It seemed like the defensive line was getting pressure whenever they wanted, and the secondary was nearly unstoppable, with no quarterbacks able to figure them out. But the story was very different two years ago. The secondary was shaky and unreliable.
“When you bring in talented players, success happens. They brought in guys like Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and C.J Gerdener Johnson. This, along with some step-ups from other players in the secondary, is no surprise that they were the best in the league.” Sean Klueder on the topic.
But the Eagles' success this year did not end on the field. Multiple players within the organization are beloved by the fans for their off-the-field actions, whether it's community service or charities
“It is extremely important. A player named Chris Long got so involved with the city that he still contributed to the community after he was done playing, and he is still loved. It is also very good for the player's public image. But the fans of Philadelphia welcome hard workers who give it their all and commit to the fans. That is why Bryce Harper is so big here.” Mr. Pimentel spoke on the topic of the importance of off-the-field actions in the community.
