If you are ever around for the holiday of Thanksgiving, you have probably heard of the Turkey Trot. Every year on the fourth Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. We celebrate all of the things that we are grateful for. But beyond food, the Macy's day parade, and football, there are other traditions that take place. The Garnet Valley Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning every year with the course starting at the high school and taking you around the school district campuses, and back. Don't worry if running isn't for you, it can be a walk, a jog, or even a skip if you really wanted. It's designed for all ages with two races, a one mile and a 5k. If you would like to support from afar, there is also a new Virtual 5k option avaliable!

Not only is it super fun to do, but it is a great way to be a part of the community and see how it all comes together. It's a great event to attend with friends, family, and teammates. Don't be afraid to show off your best turkey hat either! The best part of it all... everyone gets a t-shirt and a medal! Now who doesn't love getting a medal? Enjoy some fun music and make great memories. You can sign up for the race at https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/GlenMills/GarnetValleyTurkeyTrot.
