On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Garnet Valley High School joins the rest of the nation in honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day is a time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude to those who have dedicated themselves to protecting our country and preserving our freedoms.

At Garnet Valley, this day holds special meaning. Many students and staff have family members who are veterans, and the school community takes pride in recognizing their service. Whether through assemblies, class discussions, or moments of silence, Veterans Day gives students a chance to connect classroom lessons about history and citizenship to real people who’ve made a difference.

This year, teachers across departments are planning small ways to acknowledge the day. History and government classes will focus on the origins of Veterans Day and the experiences of soldiers returning home.

As the Garnet Valley community reflects this November, the message is simple: gratitude. Veterans remind everyone what dedication and courage look like. By recognizing them, students also learn what it means to serve, whether that’s volunteering, leading a team, or simply supporting one another.

On Veterans Day 2025, Garnet Valley High School stands together in appreciation and respect for all who have served, continuing a tradition of honor that extends far beyond the classroom.
