Between classes, homework, clubs, activities, and tests, it’s hard to keep track and stay organized with everything you have to do for your classes. Here are 5 ways to make sure you always have the right paper for the right classes, study for the right tests, and prioritize your time wisely.

  1. Have a planner- Whether it’s a physical planner or an online planner, it is always good to have something concrete to write down what you need to complete for the week. If you are looking for good online planners, Notion and My Study Life are good websites to start a to-do list or a calendar.

  1. Set a timer to study- When studying for a test or quiz setting a timer for 20, 10, 30, or even just five minutes can help you stay focused and study for the or the amount of time you set the timer for. It gives a responsibility that you have to at least keep studying or doing work for the allotted time.

  1. Teach it to someone else- A good way to retain the information you studied is by teaching it to somebody else. If you can clearly teach it to a friend or family member in a way that they will understand it, then you definitely know what you are talking about and are more than prepared for your test or quiz!

  1. Handwrite your notes- Handwriting your notes is proven to stimulate your brain more than typing them, it  helps your brain retain information better. It helps to have a concrete place to put your ideas and thoughts that you can easily look at without straining your eyes from staring at a screen for hours.

  1. Make folders in Google Drive- Especially nowadays, we have lots of online assignments to keep track of. Your assignments can easily get lost in the swirl of documents, so to keep track of what assignment is for which class, you should make folders in your google drive for each of your classes and sort out your assignments between the classes. It is an easy way to make sure your drive is organized and you are doing the right assignments.

In this article, I hope you discovered new and different ways to study and stay organized over the course of this school year. Happy studying!!!
