As the week leading up to homecoming at Garnet Valley approaches, our student council has announced our spirit week themes! All students are encouraged to participate in each day’s theme, but even more so this year, as the student council announces a brand new, year long event, Clash of Classes, that ends with field day. Students will have chances to earn points for their grade all year, with homecoming spirit week being the first opportunity to do so!

You can earn points and show your school spirit by participating in this week’s spirit theme days, which are listed here!

Monday is Denim Day! Come to school in your favorite jeans or jackets. Tuesday is Adam Sandler Day! Dress like the iconic star, and emulate his classic “just-rolled-out-of-bed” vibe by wearing your most comfortable baggy shorts, shirts, sweatshirts, and donning some sunglasses. Wednesday is Decades Day! Each grade has been assigned a decade’s iconic fashion to wear. Freshman have been assigned the 60’s, Sophomores have been assigned the 70’s, Juniors, the 80’s, and Senior’s have been given the 90’s. Dress in your favorite flare pants, jeans, tye-dye, or neon. Thursday is Dress Like A Teacher Day (and Vice Versa)! Enjoy dressing up as your favorite teacher, or a teacher in general, in their signature outfits. Today, the teachers will also dress like the students! Lastly, Friday is Class Shirts Day! Each class will be selling class shirts this week, so make sure you buy one during Lunch and Learn to wear it this Friday! Further information will be given to everybody through your class.
