  1. Sweet Potato Casserole

Starting off, we have sweet potato casserole. This is my favorite Thanksgiving side dish. Warm sweet potatoes topped with delicious brown sugar is sure to make your taste buds crave more. Sometimes, marshmallows are even added along with the brown sugar to add more texture and sweetness to the dish. It’s so good it doesn’t even feel like a side dish; it feels like it should be a dessert. If you haven’t tried sweet potato casserole, I highly recommend trying it.

  1. Cranberry Sauce

Next up we’ve got cranberry sauce, a fan-favorite element of Thanksgiving dinner. Whether you’re going with the gelatin-like version from the can or homemade style, you simply can’t go wrong with cranberry sauce. When you think of cranberry sauce, you think of Thanksgiving dinner, am I right?

  1. Rolls

We simply can’t forget about the rolls, another favorite side of mine. Warm rolls from the oven with creamy butter or other topping spread across them is certainly delicious. Practically everyone likes rolls, even the picky eaters. This makes them a must-have side for your Thanksgiving dinner.

  1. Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are another staple side to any Thanksgiving meal. You can eat your fluffy, delicious mashed potatoes plain or with gravy on top. Either way is good, however I find that gravy tends to bring more flavor. You can even combine mashed potatoes with other parts of your meal, such as turkey.

5. Stuffin

Personally I don’t like stuffing, but many people do, which is why it’s been added to this list. It’s something my mom always makes for Thanksgiving. The rest of my family finds it delicious, especially when eaten alongside the turkey. While stuffing may not be on my plate, it certainly makes many other people’s food just a bit more delicious.
