On Friday, September 29th, the Garnet Valley community wore gold in support of those fighting pediatric cancer. The annual “Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer”, otherwise known as “The Gold Out Game”, is a staple at Garnet Valley. With the student section wearing gold, the cheerleaders wearing gold ribbons, and the football team wearing gold laces, the school truly was spirited for such an amazing cause.
At the football game, the Garnet Valley Mini-THON had a successful bake sale and t-shirt sale for their annual gold-out shirt. Additionally, many community members were able to purchase a miniature gold pumpkin to support the local organization “Little Hero Foundation”.
For each community member who purchased a pumpkin and posted the picture online, the foundation matched their donation in support of the fight! For those still wishing to purchase a pumpkin, Mini-THON will be selling them on Wednesday, October 4th for $1 during both learns. FTK!
