Boys Lacrosse Season Ends in a 9-8 Heartbreak

Boys lacrosse fell to LaSalle College HS (15-5) Tuesday night in a 9-8 loss at the MOE in the first round of the PIAA State Tournament. 

Colin Smith led the Jag’s offensive with three goals. Similarly, Grew Goldt added 2 goals while Kris Henning, Kai Lopez, and Evan Wilkens all added 1 goal each. Behind Henning’s and Goldt’s goals, Henning had 1 assist and Goldt had 2 assists. Zach Myers’s and Joshua Graham tallied 1 assist each. Goalie Drew Keaveney narrowed Lasalle’s offense with a total of 12 saves. 

Max Wickersham led LaSalle’s offense with five goals. Nole Henry, Stevie Davis, Darryl Kuriger, and Leyton Bracken added one goal each. LaSalle will face Central York or Parkland in the Quarterfinals on June 10th. 

Boys lacrosse took the 5th seed in the tournament after defeating Pennridge 13-7 last Wednesday. They finished the season ranked 13th in the 3A PIAA District I bracket.
