Every March is women’s history month which is a month dedicated to women from all walks of life. This month you should look forward to learning interesting facts and discussing some of the incredible things women have done throughout the years. One way to do this is to indulge yourself in media or literature created by women (even if that media doesn’t directly talk about women’s issues). A few recommendations are:
milk and honey by Rupi Kaur
A poetry book about the realities of life and the process of healing from trauma.
Turning Red; Directed by Domee Shi
A light-hearted coming-of-age movie discussing culture and independence.
The Witcher; Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich
A fantasy action drama based on the book featuring the same title.
In the end, the most important thing you can do this month is to just treat women, and really any person around you, with respect.
