Boys Basketball
Boys basketball took down Methacton 73-69 in double overtime in Tuesday night’s second round of the PIAA District I playoffs. Senior Ryan Faccenda had 19 points; senior Max Koehler had 16 points and six assists, while junior Jack Krautzel and sophomore Jake Sniras tallied 15 and 14 points, respectively. The Jags will play Springford on Friday. Springford defeated WC Henderson 47-55 on Tuesday night.
Girls Basketball
Girls basketball fell to Souderton 53-31 in Wednesday night’s second round of the PIAA District 1 6A playoffs. The Jags advanced to the second round after upsetting Pennridge 45-42. They will play in playbacks with a date, time, and opponent TBD.
Bocce
A huge congratulations to the Bocce team as they took home gold at the County Championships at Sun Valley High School on Wednesday. They defeated Haverford High School 5-2 to claim the title and are now Delco Champions!
Cheerleading
Girls cheerleading returned from Nationals in Florida after taking 10th place overall. The Jags have had a fantastic, well-accomplished season with a central league, district, and state title, along with a 10th-place finish in the nation.
Indoor Track and Field
Freshman Avery Lustgarten broke the school record in the 3000m and took 3rd place overall in the Meet of Champions with a time of 10:34.9. Freshman Felicia Grimmelbien and Senior Anna Saboja also broke Garnet Valley school records. Saboja competed in the 60 hurdles and ran a 9.54, taking 5th place overall and breaking her own school record. Grimmelbein competed in the 60m dash in 7.91, taking 2nd place and shattering her school record.
Wrestling
The Jags will compete in the PIAA District 1 West Tournament at Oxford Area High School this Saturday. Tickets must be purchased online if you plan to attend.
