This past Sunday, the GV girls track team competed at the Ocean Breeze Invitational in Staten Island, New York. Many athletes had great performances, but perhaps the most memorable was the 4×200 meter relay, consisting of freshman Felicia Grimmelbein, junior Laura Wert, and seniors Anna Archer and Anna Saboja. They placed 6th overall with a blazing time of 1:46:93, and also came away with history, breaking the school record that was set last year. Laura Wert and Anna Archer were returning members of the relay that saw the record break twice. The relay will run again soon, as they qualified for the Meet of Champs later this month.
