Last Saturday, December 3rd, Model UN members worked hard at the Model UN competition in Salesianum School. Model UN is a club here at the high school where you engage in meaningful debates, resolve conflicts, and work in teams to solve real crises. The committies at DELMUN included various topics the UN committees would face in a session including; “Special Political and Decolonization” (SPECPOL): Combatting Terrorism from Islamic Militants in West Africa, Disarmament and International Security (DISEC): Arms Trade & Cyber Security, Security Council (Crisis): Ukraine-Russia Conflict, and Historical Council (Crisis): Continental Congress of 1776. During these committee meetings, delegates debated, collaborated, and worked on resolutions to find solutions to the topics presented.
