Dancing with the Stars kicked off their new season a few weeks ago with a bang. Season 31 is already significantly different from the rest. In the past DWTS aired on the ABC channel on Monday nights. After 16 years they have made a switch. Now, you require a Disney+ membership to watch. Tyra Banks is the returning host along with all four judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonoli, and Derek Hough.
There are a number of exciting new contestants this season, but fans are most excited about internet sensation Charli D’amelio and her mom Heidi joining the lineup. Charli D’amelio’s rise to fame started in 2019 with just a few TikTok posts. Her dances and lip-sync videos grabbed the attention of many. D’amelio was the first person to earn 50 million and 100 million followers on TikTok but that’s nothing compared to her now-standing 147.6 million. Charli was a competitive dancer for most of her adolescent years. She started not only posting TikTok dances but also more of a traditional style of her dance videos. She is very public with her love for dance, making her a perfect contender for this season of Dancing with the Stars.
