On June 1, 2022, more than 65  high achieving language students from Garnet Valley High School in the language courses, French, German, and Spanish, were inducted into their respective honors societies as a part of the World Language Honor Society induction ceremony. Juniors and Seniors who have taken at least three years of their respective language and maintained a grade higher than a 90% in a language class and an 80% or higher in any of their other classes. In order to maintain their membership, all students must remain in a language course for the duration of high school. The Spanish Honors Society also includes a community service aspect but the French Honors society is based solely on academic achievements. The ceremony featured the officers of the French, German and Spanish Clubs, as student readers who announced the names of all of the new inductees as well as the histories of each society. All of the inductees into the Société Honoraire de Française (French), Deutsche Ehrenverbindung (German), and Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish), recited a pledge in their respective languages. Although the ceremony was less than half an hour long, it highlighted the importance of language learning and diversity amongst high school students.

Félicitations, glückwunsch, and felicitaciones to all of the new inductees!
