Tomorrow, Friday May 20th, the Youth and Government Club is hosting a teacher vs student basketball game at the school. The game will be held at 6:00 PM in The 2020 Center. Tickets are being sold for $5 in the cafeteria during both learns and will be sold at the door.
The roster of teachers, starting with the team captain, is Ms. Buchholz, Mr. Layman, Ms. McIntrye, Mr. Brangiel, Mr. McVaugh, Dr. Selfridge, Ms. Howell, Mrs. Barber, Mr. Vapniarek, Herr Jones, Mr. Rugh, Mr. Shiller, and Ms. Mosley.
The student roster is made up of senior and junior class officers, as well as some other students. This roster includes Greg Lederer (team captain), Danny Lam, Dan Lin, Riley Stoddard, Heather Albright, Jude York, Maddie Shoemaker, Georgia Bowes, Samir Rana, Jack King, Sathvik Chadive, and Ryan Lutness.
Besides those playing in the game, the students are getting involved such as Ryan Croke, Ben Hoyt, and Jeremy Park who will be commentating during the game. Jeremy Park will also capture pictures of the game for people to look back at and remember the event. Another student taking time to participate in the event is Alec Eskin, who will be officiating.
As well as the entertaining game that will be going on, there will be food to purchase. There will also be singing before the game with Rose DiPaolo starting the event off strong with “The Star Spangled Banner”.
This event is sure to be a great time and all the proceeds will go towards supporting the school’s Youth and Government Club. Make sure to stop by!
