Peer tutoring for math is now available in Mrs. Monohan’s room during second learn. There will be two to five tutors available every day to help struggling students. Peer tutoring was done in Mrs. Monahan’s room prior to COVID and showed good results. Mrs. Monahan said that, “Sometimes kids feel more comfortable coming to other students their age,” and she wanted to give those kids a positive and supportive environment to learn. The tutors helping students are juniors and seniors from different backgrounds and who have different strengths and personalities, ensuring that anyone can get help and feel comfortable in the learning environment.
