At LOVE park, located in the heart of Philadelphia, the annual Christmas Village has been spreading Christmas cheer in Philadelphia since 1956 and features light shows, food and drinks, and dozens of local vendors. The village is based off of the Christmas Markets in Germany, so while walking down the many rows lit by Herrnhut stars, be sure to grab some grub at some of the booths selling traditional German cuisine. And while hot chocolate did not originate in Germany, you can purchase a cup along with the iconic Christmas Village mug. Food and drinks may draw people towards the dazzling attraction. Food and drink may be a large part of the attraction but it is certainly not the only part. Christmas Village also features many small artists who make anything from homemade clothing, ornaments, and so much more. Be sure to tune into some of the singers and songwriters playing on the mainstage near the 3 foot tall “I love Philly” sculpture also. So if you are scrambling to find that perfect last minute gift or end the holiday season with one last ‘hurrah’, the Christmas Village is the perfect place for you and your loved ones to soak up every bit of the holidays. The attraction will be operating from now until December 24, 2021.
