Everyone has been affected by COVID-19 in the past year and a half. As restrictions lessen and life seems to return back to the old normal, the return to school is inevitable. However, many students struggle with anxiety coming back to school, especially when COVID has seemed to become more powerful, mutating and creating the new Delta strain. Not only has a new strain increased anxiety levels, but there has been much debate over the COVID vaccines. While it is necessary to remain safe during the pandemic by regularly washing your hands, social distancing, and wearing a mask, it is also incredibly important to recognize how far we have come. There have only been three reported COVID cases in Garnet Valley High School, and while that may seem like a lot, it is a very low number considering the number of students attending our school and the close contact we have with each other in hallways and classrooms. This pandemic has brought out community together and continues to keep fighting.
