New November Music Releases

By Justin Kang

It is safe to say that November was no ordinary month for the music industry. Let us take a closer look at three of the hottest album and song releases given to us in the past thirty days.

Ariana Grande has made waves on the music scene for years and did not stop in 2020. She was named as the highest-earning woman in music on Forbes’ 2020 Celebrity 100 list earlier this year. The release of her sixth studio album, Positions, was met with mixed reviews, but ultimately debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts and broke records.

A highly anticipated project, Pluto x Baby Pluto did not disappoint when it dropped on November 13th. Rappers Future and Lil Uzi Vert showcased their chemistry on otherworldly instrumentals. Recruited for the project were producers such as Brandon Finessin, a Philadelphia native, and DJ Esco, who both artists have worked with in the past. Not giving their listeners room to breathe, the duo dropped a deluxe version of the album only four days later, which included six additional tracks.

The Canadian superstar duo of Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber connected for their latest hit single, “Monster”. A well-written track with a strong chorus, this single is guaranteed to do well on the charts. The two artists also released a music video to accompany the song’s release.
