On Friday, GVHS’s first MORP in many years was held, to positive reception from attendees. Students dressed in all forms of neon had fun with a variety of activities. There was black light dancing in half of the gym, and basketball in the other. Karaoke was a fun new element that was held in the balcony of the cafeteria. Photo booths were set up in various locations so that students could document their glow-in-the-dark night. DJs raised the stakes early on with a ten-minute “dance-a-thon”, where participants had to dance for ten minutes straight. Four boys and four girls were chosen to show the DJs their best moves in a final competition. Emma Curtius, 12th grade, and Kaviin Sathish, 9th grade, each won the competition, and received $100 as a reward. Additionally, Ryan Hickey, 11th grade, won a new pair of Airpods from the raffle that all participants were entered in. MORP was a night full of energy and fun for those who attended, and many students hope that MORP will become an annual tradition at Garnet Valley.
