Garnet Valley’s 54th annual homecoming began right off the bat as the students of GVHS partook in spirit week: dressing in USA day, Pj day, Hawaiian day, Class shirts. The traditions began on Friday afternoon, with the senior homecoming court were escorted in golf carts with their dads, waving to everybody. Then began the floats and the seniors took the gold with their Friends themed “The one where we win it all”. The football match-up happened not long after and, in spite of battling and enduring until the end, Garnet Valley took the win against Strath Haven with a score of 49-21. At halftime, the homecoming court was presented, and Jennifer Tang was declared as homecoming queen. At long last, the celebrations finished up on Saturday night with the homecoming dance, where high schoolers dressed their best to move the night away. Later that night Zohaib Faisal was named homecoming king, and Zohaib and Jennifer danced the rest of the night away. Congrats to Jennifer and Zohaib as well as the rest of the 2019 Homecoming Court.
