We’ve all been there, whether it’s because of a sports, school, work we’ve all felt stress in our life. Stress is a normal certain types of level can be good, and help you finish a paper but for the most part it’s not. It’s a feeling we all experience and we all hate it. A lot of people don’t know how to cope with stress. I personally didn’t know how to cope with stress, until career development. Which is a class designed to help students prepare for future education and future plans. In career development we had a teacher come in to talk to us about something called mindfulness. At first, I was “this is stupid and it won’t work,” I was so far from the truth. By the end of the class, I felt regenerated and I felt like I could take on the world. It even helped me the rest of the day I felt more creative and sharp. These exercises opened up a new window in my life, I feel like just by doing some exercises like the ones below just at the beginning of your day will make you feel great and help you just cope with stress of school a little better

  1. Deep Breaths- Inhale and exhale, this will just help you clear your head fast and effectively.
  1. Body Scan: This is the one that I benefitted the most from while doing the mindfulness class, you basically just lie down, Take a few deep breaths while closing your eyes. You then should  your breathing flows naturally, start to scan your body. Bring your awareness to your body from the toes up and if you notice tension in any specific part, let it go.
  1. Breathing meditation: This is exercise is good to just feel the power of meditation, it requires more time but It helps to relieve stress.Close your eyes, count your breaths from 1 to 10, focus on your breathing while paying full attention to your thoughts
