Hunchback in “fall” swing

This fall, the GVHS Drama Club is putting on one of the most difficult shows that it has ever done. Here’s an inside look on how far our Drama Club has gotten.

The first six weeks of practice was dedicated to learning all of the music, compared to our other shows which normally take three weeks to learn music. Hunchback of Notre Dame’s music is so intricate in cases such as singing quickly in Latin as many lines are being layered over that. On top of vocal practices, dance practices were in full force as well.

Continuing on throughout practices, things started to click with everyone. Dances were being learned, the songs were increasing slightly, day by day. We then begin the start of our run through process. This is where we get the blocking for where we need to be on stage and what we need to be doing. This is the process that we are in now.

After hearing all of these behind the scenes snippets, you should visit our website gvpaa.org and check out our ticket sales. You should also check out our other events and come see Hunchback of Notre Dame!!
