For the first time in Garnet Valley history, the Garnet Valley Girls Basketball Team is heading to States. They will be playing on Friday at 6:00 PM in Hershey for the Girls Basketball 6A State Championship. The Jaguars will be facing off against the Peters Township Indians who have a 29-0 record. They are located south of Pittsburgh, finished 1st in the WPIAL 6A 2 standings, are ranked 1st in the State of Pennsylvania by MaxPreps, and 15th nationally by MaxPreps. The Jaguars are 30-1, finished 1st in the Central League, are ranked 4th in the State of Pennsylvania, and 141st in the USA by MaxPreps. The Garnet Valley Girls Basketball Team is already having a historically great season. Some of the accomplishments are having the most wins in a season for any Garnet Valley Basketball Team, winning the Central League Title, and winning the District I Title for the 1st time. This has been really exciting year for the coaches, players, and fans to be able to see history this year. Garnet Valley, in my opinion, is an elite team and has a really good chance of winning States on Friday. Garnet Valley is one of the two teams still alive. There are a lot of reasons for that. This should be an exciting game to watch.
