On January 18th, students had the pleasure to showcase their independent research projects in the GVHS library. During the semester, these inquiring minds conducted thorough research on a topic of their choice. The ultimate culmination of their experimentation is a colorful poster board displaying all of the information they collected. The projects examined subjects related to biology, psychology, anatomy and physiology, and microeconomics. Some of the topics studied included “Music and Academic Performance”, “Mental Illness And Anxiety In Students”, and “The Creativity Crisis”. Evidently, the students were meticulous and profound in their presentations and discussions as each talked about the scientific matter he or she chose. The next IRP showcase will be held in June, and Garnet Valley High School will witness yet another intellectual array of research-related, scientific works.
