2018 just wrapped up, and it has been a roller coaster for everyone. From the midterms, Winter Olympics, and the Youtube Drama, this previous year was definitely a thriller. But with 2018 in the past, there are many things on the horizon for Garnet Valley in 2019. Here’s a preview of some of the big things happening in 2019 that students and the community have to watch out for.
Endgame-Infinity War is one of the most popular movies in the 21st Century and is the beginning of the end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Endgame is the sequel to it and wraps up a ten-year journey; it is one the most highly anticipated movies of all time. Also being eagerly awaited and coming out this year is Captain Marvel. These movies are on the “must-watch” list for people of all ages and is something to look out for in 2019.
Tesla Model Y, not the official name yet, is the newest product Tesla is offering and is expected to be similar to the model X. But it is also an SUV, and even though it comes out next year, there is a lot of excitement and details which will be revealed this year.
Spice Girls are doing a great tour- The spice girls are coming back with a return tour after around a decade of silence.
PlayStation 5- Originally said to be released in 2021, it is coming out earlier with reports saying it might be released on Christmas 2019 but no credible details are leaked yet. It also will be releasing earlier than Xbox2.
Fortnite World tournament which has a prize of 100,000- Fortnite has a world tournament in which players all over the globe compete for 100k. There will be duos, solos, and teams. Anyone can play and it will be highly anticipated by avid gamers.
Toy story- A new toy story is coming out along with other Disney movies such as Aladdin and the Lion King. The plot is unconfirmed but it looks like a new, exciting adventure will begin for Woody and Buzz.
Stranger things- Season three of this well-done series is coming out so set a binge scheduled accordingly. It is coming out in July and shows great promise.
CRISPR- After the success of the Chinese scientist who claims to have created the first genetically modified babies, CRISPR will take on new challenges, and we might see a rise in experiments like these and there are so many possibilities in store.
Total Solar Eclipse- A rare event which last occurred in 2009 and is supposed to happen again this year where the eclipse will be seen from South America and will occur on July 2nd. Get your telescopes ready for anyone who is interested!
