This Christmas, the most popular gift among high schoolers was Apple AirPods. AirPods are wireless headphones that connect to your iPhone. They are kept in a case that charges them while keeping them safe. The cost of AirPods is approximately $159, so what makes them better than other earphones? The AirPod technology recognizes when it’s not in your ear and will consequently pause your music. When you double tap either AirPod, it will activate Siri without taking your iPhone out of your pocket. You can listen to them to up for 5 hours and just about 15 minutes of charging in the case leads to 3 hours of listening. After polling the Newspaper Club, ⅓ of the students stated that they had received AirPods recently. On the first day back from break, an increased number of students wearing AirPods in the hallways was also observed. However, these earphones could become a problem in the classroom setting as they can easily be hidden under hair. Airpods is an incredible piece of technology that is becoming more and more popular by the day. So consider purchasing a pair for a loved one or yourself this holiday season, and certainly, look for sales if there are any.
