The Halloween Dance for the 7th and 8th grade took place on Friday, October 12th at the middle school. Interact Club, a club where we do community service and attend events like The Fall Festival, was at this event to supervise. Although this event was known as the Halloween Dance beforehand, it is now called the middle school “Fun Night”. A lot has changed since the current high school students have been to that party; now, it is as if Midnight Madness and the Snowflake Dance merged together to create an entirely unique experience. In one of the gyms, there are various activities such as basketball and the infamous mechanical bull. In the other gym, green lights shine and dance across the ceiling and walls while the DJ blares the music so loud that the whole gym vibrates.

During the event, Interact volunteers were stationed all around the area, some in the cafeteria keeping an eye on things, and some in the gyms doing the same; the volunteers mainly helped to clean up any messes, handle providing food, and setting up the middle school prior to the event. For their hard work and diligent effort, Interact volunteers we allowed to partake in eating chocolate chip cookies and pizza along with the middle school students. It turned out to be a very eventful, memorable night for Interact, and more exciting events such as the Pumpkin Carve, Dinner And A Show, and Dance For A Cure.
