It is very exciting to announce that the GVHS Club HERE, or Humanity in Ethnicity, Race, and Equality, is hosting a zombie run at Garnet Valley Middle School to raise money for the impactful, international hunger relief organization known as Rise Against Hunger. To clarify, a zombie run is essentially a race in which some students have flags or streamers to represent their lives, and other students are zombies who have to chase those with the flags; the students whose flags do not get pulled by the end of the race survive, and for the students whose flags do get pulled… that is a completely different story.
Students who sign up to be zombies will be able to get their makeup done prior to the race by GVHS’s National Arts Honor Society. Students, especially those who are going to be zombies, are advised to dress the part and wear appropriate clothing. The event will take place on October 27th, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and is going to be an amazing experience that will benefit many people, so please sign up as the spots are limited! For any questions or concerns, students can contact the club at HERE@gmail.com.
