Garnet Valley High School Reflection

Logan Maison

One piece of art that caught my eye at the Garnet Valley High School Art Show was a small, blue, ceramic fountain by an artist named Taylor Ottinger. The art piece was shaped like a vase, but it was not open at the top. Instead, there was a small plate that was full of rocks and water. The water ran down a ribbed side of the vase and back into the cycle. I thought this piece was really imposing and appealing, and I also thought it was very impressive that this person was able to create a beautiful piece of art and have it work as a running fountain. Overall, I thought that this piece and several others at the Art Show were very interesting and spectacular.
