Fantastic news to report from the Delco Relays at Haverford! The girls finished with 30 medals, 2 new school records and a District qualifier! In the Shuttle Hurdles Relay the team of Erika Kondo, Maura Tease, Kathryn Wright and Chenai Kaminski broke the school record running a 1:08.50, taking 2nd overall. In the 4x200m the team of Liz O’Brien, Maura Tease, Grace Zamrowski and Meghan Arters reunited from indoor track to shatter the school record by nearly 2 seconds running a 1:47.90 and winning the race by 5 seconds. In the high jump, Grace Zamrowski won the event along with teammate Izzy Ha, Grace’s jump of 5’1” also qualifies her for Districts in May. Also important to note is that the 4x100m (O’Brien, Tease, Stuart, Arters) are only .2 off Districts while the 4x800m (Zamrowski, Mooney, Erley, Kent) are only 2 seconds off Districts.

The track team has a very important home meet on Wednesday, April 18th against Strath Haven, Lower Merion, and Harriton at 3:15pm. Haven and Lower Merion are both very strong teams and the team needs all the support we can get to challenge these team. On Friday, April 20, the team will split and go to the JV meet at Marple, and the bus leaves at 2:15pm and the Varsity going to the Twin Valley Invite with the bus leaving at 1:15pm.
