The Middle School Learning Center classroom is selling “mixed up” socks to promote awareness for Down Syndrome. The third month on the 21st day is for World Down Syndrome Awareness. It was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. Socks will be on sale soon at the GVMS school store and also at student lunches the week of March 19th. Please purchase and then wear your socks on March 21. Even if you already have a pair of mixed up socks, please purchase another one! They are only $1 and are very colorful and comfortable.
