There were great results from last night’s Girl’s Indoor Track Delco Champs. Girls from all over Delaware county met at Haverford College to compete; Garnet Valley was among 21 other teams competing last night. It was a really impressive night for our girls. Garnet Valley competed in 12 events and medaled in 7 of those! In total, they took home 17 medals with some girls medaling twice! Along with medals, many were able to take home new personal records! Erika Kondo and Meghan Arters were able to better their 60m hurdles and 60m dash times respectively. One of the highlights was Grace Zamrowski winning the High Jump with a jump of 5 feet. This jump was a PR for Grace. Grace is the first freshman in Garnet Valley track history to win a field event at Delco Champs!! The girls are taking today to prepare for their next meet on Friday. They will be traveling two hours to Lehigh Univesity where they will compete against Delaware country teams along with teams all over Pennslyvania.
