As some of you may know lacrosse season is not until the spring, but that is not stopping the girls JV, and Varsity Lax Team. The coach of the amazing team is Ms. Purvis. Since it is not Lacrosse season they are currently doing fall ball. Fall ball is a time where the girls of the lacrosse team get an early start on preseason. Doing Fall Ball not only gives the girls good practice with their stick work but also gives them a good opportunity to get to know each other. The girls lacrosse team has scrimmages at Radnor High School. When doing scrimmages they break off and have the Varsity teams play each other, and the JV teams play each other. Since the JV consists of freshman, sophomores, and Juniors, they have a couple of different ages on the field at all times. The games are typically in the morning on Sunday’s, ranging from the turf field to the grass field. The team has played Agnes Irwin, Notre Dame, Penncrest, Radnor, and Abington. Though the scores of the games are not being kept, that is not stopping the team from playing their hardest and giving 110%. In the end, I think that doing fall ball is going to result in a great season full of victories, good times, and great experiences.
