The Ultimate Frisbee team finished their second season on Sunday May 21st. This season the team fielded approximately 45 male players and 20 female players. The men were able to field both a Varsity and Junior Varsity team, and competed on two separate levels, while the women fielded a single team. At the end of the regular season the JV and Varsity and boys’ team had gone 0-4 while the girls’ team had gone 0-3. Despite having a disappointing season, a group of 15 members attended the Cities 2017 Division III tournament, which included 14 teams from the Philadelphia area. Despite being the lowest seed in the entire tournament, the Jaguars swept their pool 3-0 and went on to play in the semifinals. They lost to Penncrest 11-5, scoring five times on a team that had not been scored on that day. Finishing fourth out of fourteen, the Ultimate team is confidently looking forward into next year. If you are interested in joining the team next year, talk to Mrs. Truskin in room B208.
