Mariano Rivera is Coming to BYC

Former New York Yankee pitcher and all-time saves leader, Mariano Rivera, will be coming to BYC on Saturday, April 29. There will be a 5k run/walk and a kids fun run in coordination with the Mariano Rivera Public Foundation at Gillespie Park. There will also be raffles and auctions for collectible memorabilia as well as a disk jockey, food, and more. The money will go towards two great causes. Some of the money will go towards the purchase of a backpack full of school supplies to kids in Wilmington, DE who can not otherwise afford it. The rest of the money will go directly to BYC to further the development of their various sports programs and to keep costs for community members at a minimum. The day promises to be jam-packed with fun for kids and adults involved in BYC, or just local members of the community. BYC is also proud to be the first youth sports league hosting a 5k for the Mariano Rivera Public Foundation!
