With all of the new technology these days, schools are destined to eventually hop on board. Here in the high school, and around the district, we benefit everyday from our opportunity to have access to modern technology. In the library, we have many Mac computers, so that students can use trustworthy, fast devices during the day. The district also has many carts of chromebooks floating around throughout the district, which are helpful as students can do work in-class without leaving the room. School-friendly websites like Schoology allow teachers and students to complete assignments and connect online. Many textbooks are online now, which is very helpful to lessen the heavy weight students have to carry everyday. Also, using Google applications such as Google docs, slides, and classroom, students and teachers can simply “share” online files with one another without wasting paper. I especially love the Google apps for group projects, since multiple people can be working on the same project at the same time. Different clubs, departments, and classes can interact on Twitter, and it is very easy to receive and check updates through that app. In my opinion, going digital is great, and I love that schools and businesses are acknowledging new technology, and using it to their advantage.
